Beer Description
American Sour with Cherries.This is a more fruit forward and sweeter version of our Opus Kriek. Itβs rich, complex, and tart. Dark sweet cherry juice is added to produce a deep red color. This ale starts out with a mixed fermentation of local wild yeasts and bacteria cultivated from the fruitbelt orchards of Southwest Michigan. We aged this ale over one year in wine barrels sourced from a local winery. The barrels are then individually tasted and carefully selected to be blended to produce this bottle of sour ale. This American style sour ale is refreshing, fruity, crisp, bold, and puckering.
