Beer Description

An intensely flavoured, big, dark ale. Roasty and bittersweet, with a noticeable alcohol presence. Dark fruit flavours meld with roasted coffee and dark chocolate notes to create a very full-bodied, velvety, luscious texture.

A fierce and powerful creature was the Black Boar. This huge beast played a massive role in shaping ancient Irish history. Famously the Balck Boar killed, and was killed by Diarmuid the warrior, while he answered the challenge of his archrival Fionn MacCumhail on the mountain of Ben Bulben in County Sligo. The Black Boar has come to represent resilience. Fitting then that this black, silky Imperial Stout should carry the name of one of ancient Ireland’s most notorious icons.
