Beer Description
Wassale is a 9.1% holiday ale, brewed with cinnamon, allspice, clove, nutmeg, orange zest, and roasted apples.
Wassale is the first collaboration brew from Rinn Duin Brewing & Two Ton Brewing.
This hearty ale is inspired by a traditional English “wassail”, a winter/Christmas drink made with spiced mulled cider and baked apples. It is typically served hot and blended with sherry, port wine, or brandy. Both its temperature and high alcohol content kept carolers warm as they sang and spread cheer throughout the neighborhoods.
Derived from Old English words for “be in good health,” Wassale is meant to be enjoyed in the company of friends and family, while singing a Christmas carol or two.
