Bonjour! We suggest you enjoy this international champion in a traditional wine glass. It will envelope you with a bouquet of ripened apples, morning dew, hay, heather and farmland. By the second swirl, you’ll swear you were walking through the French countryside – baguette in hand!
Winning the highest rating for an international cider in 2017, we were awe-struck by Ferme de Romilly’s Cidre de Normandie in a blind tasting. Among the line-up, the demi-sec (semi-dry) apple cider won us over with its perfectly balanced fruit and mouthwatering tangy finish.
It is not surprising that some of the finest ciders are produced in the same country as some of the world’s finest wines. These French-ciders are incredibly complex with lively acidity making them a perfect pairing for a wide array of cuisine. And, with Thanksgiving less than a month away, we cannot think of a better aperitif for that festive day or for this time of year in general.
Only two ingredients are used for production from this thousand year old farm and 15 acre orchard in Isigny-Sur-Mer, Normandy: biodynamicaly grown apples and naturally occurring yeast. Pine, haystack, white pepper, and smoky leather with a satiny, bright, effervescent, and off-dry finish. Violets, sponge cake, morning picked apples and dew. This is a wonderfully flavorful and expressive French-style cider.
Not to be missed. Au revoir!
