Beer Description
Leisure Enthusiast is a new 8% Red Wine Barrel Aged Double IPA. For this beer, we set out to brew a sophisticated milkshake style Imperial IPA for the Leisure Enthusiast in all of us. We brewed a base DIPA consisting of lactose and moderately hopped with Citra and Mosaic. We then aged it in freshly dumped red wine barrels for 60 days with blackberry, strawberry and raspberry purée. After 60 days, we dry hopped it with tons of Citra and Mosaic and conditioned it on even more of each fruit. The result is a milkshake Double IPA with notes of oak, slight vanilla and dark berries that compliment the red wine flavors and aromas beautifully.
