THE CLEARING SERIES
CHAPTER ONE: Nomad & Dog arrive in the Sacred Grove and are surrounded by a host of walking, talking trees. They spend a night in the branches of the wisest and oldest tree, Cleyera, drinking and trading tales. Intruding on their party are the treacherous black hounds. They’ve brought a message: Hornbeam, the forest dragon, has been complaining that the Sacred Trees block his view of the creatures below, and he plans on destroying them all to keep closer watch of his wooded kingdom…
