Beer Description

In 14th Century Germany, the northern town of Einbock was notorious for brewing a strong, malty beer. Bavarian months borrowed this stronger style to enjoy as a supplement during times of fasting. The beer became known as “bock”, which means “goat” in German. Goats are often portrayed on the label and they symbolize the strong, hearty character of this beer.

Nashville Brewing Company first brewed bock beers in the 1860s during the winter months. We follow this tradition today with Nashville Bock Beer. Brewed with higher kilned malts and lightly hopped, this hearty beer is perfect to enjoy during the cooler months.
