Beer Description
After we kegged our imperial stout BA Keep It, we were left with 23-year old bourbon barrels that still offered character to impart. We got together with our friends at Branch & Bone Artisan Ales (which hadn’t even opened to the public yet), brewed a malt-forward, English-style barleywine, and gave it a full year in those barrels to unlock their remaining flavors and meld with the beer. The end result is a smooth and delicious sipper that’s rich on the palate and offers notes of maple, oak, and a hint of whiskey, all supported on a solid barrel foundation.
