Sam Patch Porter is a blast from the past in more ways than one. It’s one of the very first Rohrbach beers ever brewed, served at our original location in the German House. A complex, English-style porter brewed with a variety of specialty malts, it holds a robust flavor full of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and caramel. It’s a classic, traditional porter perfect for winter months ahead.
Its name comes from the infamous American daredevil who successfully jumped High Falls, only to push his luck too far on his second attempt. This porter honors Sam Patch’s bravery, and celebrates the grit and bravery of our beloved city itself.
