Beer Description

We took a base saison that underwent hot fermentation with our house saison yeast then added roasted Espadin agave hearts that Alex from Banhez brought back from Oaxaca directly to the fermenting beer. The agave hearts themselves were 7 years old at harvest and were roasted in the Earth for 3 days by Maestro Marcelino Martinez in Ejutla Oaxca. The result is a beautiful balance of fruity esters our saisons have become known for with additional notes of date, fig, bruleed banana, and smoke from the agave hearts. A portion of the proceeds is being donated to S.A.C.R.E.D. to support agave growing communities and to replant agave.
