A beer brewed specifically for the season of the annual Scottish, Welsh, and Irish Celtic Highland Games, this hearty, red ale is brewed with biscuit, rye, light/dark caramel, and smoked malt, projecting a malty backbone and rich body. The yeast selected gives the malt flavors a chance to shine and finishes the beer with a slight dryness. The spicy and aromatic hops that are used throw a nice contrast to this Scottish-inspired red ale. The American hops in union with several barley varieties allow many unique malty flavors and aromas to emerge – a very traditional style brought back to life in the new age.
