This collaboration ale is a peated wee heavy, a beer inspired by the smoky flavors of Scotch whiskey produced in the Scottish highlands. The smoky flavor brought forth from the addition of peated malt, which is created when malt is dried over a peat flame, blends beautifully with the malt-forward sweetness traditional in wee heavy ales. Fruit-forward characteristics of Scottish yeast round out the flavor profile.
