Wine Description
2012 marks the third unusually cool growing season in California, and it was perfect for growing pinot noir. The longer time on the vine allows the pinot to mature its fruity flavours without the excessive sugars which lead to high alcohols. This vintage of the Tondre’s Grapefield shows a glorious depth of black cherry and red bing cherry fruit with hints of dried herbs, smoke and briar patch. It is 100% pommard clone, known for its great mouthfeel and earthy characters.
