Beer Description
The beginning is a solid oatmeal stout. Plenty of roasted barley & chocolate malt lend rich, roasty flavors to this beer. Generous oat additions give it a creamy fullness. A hint of smoke comes from our house smoked pecan and alder malt. Nugget & Tettnager hops smooth out any sweetness without getting in the way. The addition of both shucked and in-shell oysters imparts a faint seafood flavor to the end of the stout and gives it a rich fermentation because the calcium in the shells is a nutrient for the yeast.
