Oktoberfest with Sierrra Nevada

Another year, another Oktoberfest! Wipe off those dusty lederhosens and dirndls! September 30th marks our official Oktoberfest celebration with Sierra Nevada!

Stop in between 4pm and 9pm and get a 1/2 liter stein filled of Sierra Nevada’s 2017 Oktoberfest for $6. Then get your stein refilled for $4 and take it home after the party! We will also have 3 other beers from Sierra Nevada on draft (see below). Prost!

The reason you’re coming to this event. Each year, Sierra Nevada partners with a different German brewer to explore the roots of Germany’s famous Oktoberfest beers. This year, they’ve collaborated with Germany’s Brauhaus Miltenberger, whose approach to the classic style they’ve long admired. The result is a festival beer true to their style—deep golden in color with deceptively rich malt flavor and balanced by traditional German-grown whole-cone hops.

HOP AND SOUR
This unique beer takes inspiration from the tart German kettle sour ales- Gose and Berliner Weisse- but with a massive amount of citrus and fruity hops for an extremely hoppy-but not bitter-exploration of flavor.

TRIP IN THE WOODS: RYE DUNKELWEIZEN
Dunkelweizen beers are the dark, robust, and surly cousins of the German-style hefeweizen. We elevate the traditional dunkelweizen to the next level with the addition of rye and other specialty malts, building on the rich flavor profile. Our brewers then aged the beer in barrels formerly used to mature rye whiskey. With the first sip, you’ll discover the fruity and spicy nature of the weizen yeast, but the finish is where the rye barrels shine – peppery and intense with a touch of vanilla flavor for a truly unique beer.
