Wine Description

Blue Quail, in Potter Valley in cool-climate Mendocino County, was founded some forty years ago by Guiness McFadden, a native of New York City who had fallen in love with wine when on Navy assignment in the Mediterranean. His land, which he has always farmed organically, straddles the Russian River neighbors the Mendocino National Forest and sits at an altitude of 1200 feet. His Sauvignon Blanc has great aromas and flavors of orange blossom, jasmine, honeydew melon, spice and grapefruity citrus; it is crisp, with good acidity and a lingering finish.
