Folly Of The Beast Chardonnay

This white takes its name from the great Moby Dick quote “For there is no folly of the beast of the earth that is not infinitely outdone by the madness of men.” It’s our mission – our madness, if you will – to consistently deliver great Chardonnay at an affordable price. To create this white whale of the wine world, we went to California’s Central Coast – where foggy mornings have a favorable effect on the grape and large diurnal shifts help promote fruit notes and high-acidity. This combination creates the wine’s unique, high-quality stature. A certain amount of skill and tenacity is essential to produce a Chardonnay of this stature – and Folly of the Beast is proof that a little madness pays off. The wine is aged in 30% French Oak to enhance delicious notes of apple, lemon rind, and vanilla. Well-balanced and elegant, this wine has all the beloved elements of a California chardonnay.
