How long should I give myself to make the switch?
Switching from Untappd to BeerMenus is simple and can be done in under a week.
However, in order to make sure your Untappd cancelation processes prior to your renewal, give yourself at least 2-4 weeks prior to your renewal date to look into switching to BeerMenus.
If you switch from Untappd to BeerMenus before your Untappd subscription expires, BeerMenus will credit your account with whatever time you have remaining on your Untappd subscription.

How to switch from Untappd to BeerMenus in 6 steps
Step 1: Figure out when your Untappd subscription renews
How?
Look this up in your Untappd user account or else search your inbox for your most recent Untappd receipt, which includes a renewal date.
If you can’t find it there, then you can reach out to Untappd (note that they only offer email support) or else search your credit card history.

Step 2: Create a BeerMenus page for your business and start a totally free 14-day trial

Step 3: Upload your menu items
How?
On your update menu page, start typing the name of the item you want to add, select it from the dropdown, add size/price info, then click the add to menu button. Do this for each of your menu items.
You’re free to upload your items yourself, but BeerMenus can do your initial upload for you for free. If that’s the route you prefer (it’s definitely less work for you), just send a link for your Untappd page to support@beermenus.com.
Note: you can add as many beers and non-beer items to your page as you’d like. BeerMenus doesn’t have a tiered system for non-beer items like Untappd does.
How long will this step take?
I’ll have BeerMenus do it: 2 business days or less.
I’m gonna do it myself: Count on about 20 seconds per menu item (high end estimate). So if you’re adding 30 items it should take you about 10 minutes.
Step 4: Design your Print, TV, and/or QR Menu
Set up how many pages you want, how many columns, which fonts you want to use, and so on.
How?
On your menu settings pages (there’s a separate one for each menu format) you have a ton of customization options. Here are help docs to help you navigate those settings with your Print and TV Menu.
The BeerMenus design team can design a totally custom TV, Print, and/or QR Menu for you, for no additional charge. You have access to these folks during your trial, and there are no strings attached, so getting their help is definitely worth it.
How long will this step take?
I’m gonna do it myself: 5 minutes - 1 hour per menu, depending on how in-depth you want to get.
I’ll have BeerMenus do it: 2 business days or less. Note: if you’d like BeerMenus to do your upload and design your menus, it’s 2 business days total on the turnaround for everything related to your onboarding, not 2 days for each thing.
Step 5: Remove your Untappd web menu and insert your new BeerMenus web menu
How?
Go to your website builder and remove the Untappd web integration, then plug in the BeerMenus web integration. Here’s info on how that works for common website builders, though keep in mind that BeerMenus can integrate with any site.
You’re free to do this yourself, otherwise the BeerMenus support team can do it for you.
Once it’s plugged in, you (or BeerMenus) can customize it to match your site. (Something you can’t do w/ Untappd.)
How long will this step take?
Plugging the code in will only take a couple minutes, but customizing it to match your site can take a little longer. If BeerMenus is doing it, it'll be done in 2 business days. If you’re doing it, it depends on your coding skills (at this point BeerMenus doesn’t recommend customizing it unless you’ve got familiarity with CSS).
Step 6: Set up your BeerMenus membership
