Beer Description

The monks too enjoy a fine ale with a meal. This 5.2% abv ale uses noble hops and a yeast strain from the Trappist monestary, Westmalle.

At 4 am each morning steam billows from the Brouwerij der Trappisten van Westmalle, the trappist monastery in Westamlle Belgium. The brewery helps fund the abbey and other charitable causes. Monks have been brewing for centuries, and believe a fulfilled life requires your hands never be idles and always be providing. The monks enjoy enkels, or singles, with their dinner. A much lower ABV helps cognitive thoughts. These beers are extremely rare to find, even in Belgium, and we are very proud to represent this fine style.
