Beer Description
A crisp Czech-style pilsner named for the Lager Beer Riots of 1855, Chicago’s first civil disturbance.
After the Mayor raised liquor license fees and ordered taverns to close on Sundays, armed German and Irish immigrants took to the streets. The riot was stopped by the militia, but the next year the Mayor was voted out of office and the laws were restored.
