Big River is an Aboriginal tribe located just north of the Derwent in southern Tasmania. The Big River tribe lived so remotely, it was claimed that they were the simplest people on Earth. They existed in harmony with nature for millennia and now the spectacularly fertile land where they lived is prime hop growing country.
