Beer Description
The taste is refreshing, tart, sour and acidic, with a lemony-citric fruit sharpness and almost no hop bitterness.
Bubbly Creek is the first brew in our South Side Sour line. The name is inspired by the once funk laden South Branch of the Chicago River which emanated from the Union Stock Yards. In The Jungle, Upton Sincliar describes Bubbly Creek: βThe chemicals that are poured into it undergo all sorts of strange transformations, which are the cause of its name; it is constantly in motion, as if huge fish were feeding in it, or great leviathans disporting themselves in its depths.
