Beer Description

Harveys Old Ale is brewed in the county of Sussex with an original gravity of 1040o – 1044o to give an alcohol by volume of 4.3%. A high percentage of crystal malt and black malt sugars are used and the result is a soft, full beer with a nutty palate which has been awarded numerous prizes over the years. The beer is reminiscent of the mild ales produced in the early part of the last century and is eagerly awaited by its many devotees. It was Harveys first beer to win a National Award in 1952 and has won many other accolades since, including World’s Best Mild at the World Beer Awards in 2105.
