Beer Description
Rich and malty like a Scottish ale but the higher alcohol and sugar content add complexity and some dark fruit notes to the beer. It is brewed with Scottish Golden Promise Malt, a little crystal malt and a touch of chocolate malt. It also uses a concentrated boil at the beginning of the wort collection to concentrate the malt flavors and create a toffe/caramel character. The name is based on Wee Heavy which is another name for Strong Scotch Ale.
