Inspired by the black session lagers of the Czech Republic, Notch Black Lager is malty, toasty, and infinitely drinkable. Černe Pivo is Czech for “Black Beer”,
Our beloved Czech style small black lager is back. And the beer formerly known as Černe Pivo is now known simply as Black Lager. Why? About 75% of you who wanted to order it didn’t, because the Czech language is impossible. So when we decided to put it in cans (yes, six pack cans starting around Nov 1), we felt it was time to make it easier on everyone. Don’t worry, it is the same beer and Černe Pivo is displayed prominently on the can as the style of beer. But you don’t need to sheepishly order in soft tones, point at the menu, or order something else for fear the beer snob sitting at the bar will look down on you for a wrong pronunciation.
