Beer Description
We aged our Lucky 7 porter in Kinsey whiskey barrels for 5 months.
After we racked the beer from the barrels, we aged the beer on dried cherries, dried orange peel, and cocoa nibs. The resulting beer is reminiscent of the classic Old Fashioned cocktail. Whiskey from the barrel of course, dried orange peel for the citrus garnish, real maraschino cherry character for sweetness, hops for your bitters, cocoa nib for depth, and the carbonation to bring the flavors together.
