Bernd chose to brew his honey beer as a dark lager, using a blend of pale and caramel malts. The slow lager process coated out the subtle molasses notes of the barley sugars.
Bernd chose to brew his honey beer as a dark lager, using a blend of pale and caramel malts. The slow lager process coated out the subtle molasses notes of the barley sugars. He balanced them with a dry note of hops and, at the last moment, added a very light touch of honey.
