Beer Description
Every so often as a brewer, you meet a very special hop. Perhaps you find yourself sneaking an extra whiff while weighing out a hop addition. Or you get a fuzzy giddy feeling every time a new box arrives. There’s something there. Something worth exploring. We’re starting a new series of beers dedicated to these love affairs. With each Basic Batch, we’ll bring one of our favorite hops front and center, crafting a simple beer that lets it shine.
For our inaugural batch, we’re highlighting Motueka, a lovely New Zealand hop that often makes an appearance in our pales. This beer is tropical and resinous, with notes of mild lime and papaya, orange and dry hay.
