Beer Description
Heartbreaker is the first release of our three different barrel aged sour base beers. We used a traditional Lambic grain-bill and fermented the wort with our house blends of bugs and yeast before taking a long nap in oak barrels. Initial aromas are slightly fruity with a bright lemony citrus character, followed by a strong brettanomyces horse blanket funk. Refreshingly sour, but not enamel stripping in nature, Heartbreaker strikes a balance between sour and funk, body and acidity, as well as complexity and delicateness. Designed to be blended, but perfectly capable on its own.
