Beer Description

Originally brewed by Black Diamond and a conglomerate of homebrewers for San Fransisco Beer Week, DUOG is an English Barleywine with American influence. DUOG is quite hoppy for an English barleywine but uses only English Hops (East Kent Goldings, Challenger and First Gold). It is also a blend of three barleywines which all have the same base: freshly hopped DUOG, DUOG aged in rye whiskey barrels for a year, and DUOG aged in brandy barrels for a year. The result being a very American take on the English style. Tasting notes include honey, pear, whiskey, toffee, oak and alcohol warmth.
