Rauchbier, which means smoked beer in German, is a medium-body German lager that kindles moderate malty sweetness and ignites a distinct campfire smoke flavor and aroma. The smokey character comes from its specialty malt being dried over a open flame beechwood fire. The addition of Caramel malts enhance the body and bring a bit of balancing sweetness.
