n 1836 the steamship Royal Tar caught fire and sank in Penobscot Bay, Maine. This bizarre maritime tragedy left behind a doomed circus menagerie and a still undiscovered safe full of gold and silver. Big and rich, with deep and complex malt character, Royal Tar Imperial Stout is every bit as dark and mysterious as the final resting place of its namesake. Brewed to withstand the test of time, Royal Tar is history in the making.
