Beer Description
We set out on a mission to explore the possibilities of Madagascar Vanilla Beans; the almighty king of spices.
The end result is one of intense flavors, amazing depth, smooth body and rich, elegant vanilla (lots of it!). The base
is an Imperial Stout (dark and roasted malts) with a twist; a blend of two yeast strains were used imparting rich dark
chocolate and roasty notes along with beautiful background tones of fig, date and dark cherry. 2lbs of hand scrapped
Vanilla Bean were used in this small 10bbl batch for big, bold vanilla and birthday cake batter flavors and aromas.
Finally, we added in the actual vanilla pods giving this beer an added layer of oaky, woody complexity and decadence.
