Beer Description
Using a step mash with the addition of flaked oats and European hops, this “biere de agricole” has soft, pillowy body with a hint of anise, fennel and dill.
Hazy straw yellow in color with a white, finely textured head that lasts. Aromas of white pepper, spruce, faint green herbs. Flavor is balanced, but the sweet oat flavor emerges as the beer warms. Patterned after classic French farmhouse ales, this “biere de agricole” takes inspiration from the emergence of spring, and the intensity of summer. We employed a traditional step mash to enhance the soft, pillowy body, brought about by a substantial infusion of flaked oats. Classic European hops bring notes of pepper, subtle anise, hints of fennel and dill. A mixed-fermentation rounds out the whole package, which finishes gentle and subtle.
