Beer Description
The flavor is bready and caramel-like with sweetness balanced by oaky tannins.
Hazel Dell, a brown ale based on an English brown malt profile was fermented with Belgian ale yeast and saison yeast and then aged for three months in Windy Oaks Winery Pinot Noir and Grenache barrels. The nose is a complex blend of warm spice (derived from the yeasts and the barrels), rich caramel/toffee (from the English malt bill and the barrels), and subtle fruit (from the wine and yeasts).
