Beer Description

Wort Hog’s Hogtoberfest is a full bodied, malty, celebration of Autumn. It has a round malt flavor and an above average alcohol content perfect balanced lager.

BEACHTUNG! Introducing Wort Hog Brewing Company’s Hogtoberfest. A traditional Märzen Bier, our Hogtoberfest is truly a celebration of all things Autumn. (Our Brewmaster’s favorite season!) We use only the finest German Malts and Hops in this perfectly balanced lager. Actually, almost every ingredient in our Hogtoberfest Bier is German, with the exception of the water!

An almost creamy mouthfeel leads the drinker to smooth, toasted, grainy malt dominant flavors. There’s a small but noticeable level of bitterness to help to balance out the flavors. Toasty, but rich. Easy drinking, but substantial. The biggest impression that we gain from our Hogtoberfest Bier is the unquantifiable idea of “smoothness” and rounded flavors—there are no rough edges here. It’s quite drinkable, but in a slightly richer, fuller way. Hogtoberfest is a brewer’s exercise in nuance and balance.

Designed from the ground up to be a beer fitting of a Krüg (a 1 liter, glass mug) our Hogtoberfest exhibits a spectacular malt complexity and subtlety. This Autumn, Wort Hog Brewing Company is proud to offer to you Hogtoberfest. With gently toasted notes and just the right touch of caramel. It’s simultaneously substantial and quaffable—“both drinkable and flavorful at the same time.”
