Beer Description
Hewe’s (or Hugh’s) Virginia Crab, the most popular apple in colonial Virginia and prominently cultivated on both the Monticello and Mount Vernon estates; supposedly Jefferson’s favorite cider apple still in existence. Noted for its excellent juice yield, high sugar content, and strong aroma and flavor. A dry, tart single-variety cider best served in a wine glass.
