Spiced Winter Warmer
During the epic winter of 1977, the Ohio River froze over, covering Cincinnati’s version of the Frozen Tundra. As a remembrance of this rare phenomenon, the brewers of Moerlein bring to you ’77 Winter. This spiced winter warmer is a rich amber ale styled after the Scottish liqueur, Glayva, which includes hints of honey, almond, nutmeg, and orange peel. One sip will have you envisioning yourself being warmed by a crackling fire – just as they did during that fateful winter.
