Beer Description

A scrumpy-style English cider โ€” scrumpy is a generic term for dry, farmhouse cider. These ciders are known for full bodied character, more tannins than typical ciders and often are cloudy in appearance. Foldweg is made with four English Bittersweet apples (low acid and higher tannin levels) from Poverty Lane Orchards in New Hampshire โ€” Dabinett, Yarlington Mill, Ellis Bitter (all with English heritage) and Rhode Island Greening. An English cider yeast was used to complement the apples and to provide medium-full body, minerality and earthiness. The apple characteristics become more prominent as the cider warms. Foldweg is an Old English term that can mean a โ€˜fieldโ€™s road or path.โ€™ We hope you enjoy the path this cider leads you down.
