Selection is a fresh, vivid and elegant full-bodied craft beer. It has a light golden texture with a creamy tanned head and light haze.
Gran de Select is a brewery in Andalusia, Spain, that wants to revolutionize the beer world with luxury craft beer.
“We want to make a different product and show that beer can be something else”, explains Frederik Avenstrup, oenologist by profession, manager and co-founding partner of the company. Gran de Select beer is “alive”, and it evolves over the years, just like great wine.
The signature process of their beer production is the use of tannins, a substance found in grapes and wine production – and very rarely for beer, which makes its processing much slower and more expensive. Gran de Select beer has a pressure similar to that of Champagne or Cava, and a bottle fermentation and resting period before market release of between four months and one year, depending on the type of beer.
