Beer Description
The hop provides a white grape aroma and flavor with a mild citrus note. This saison has a very mild bitterness with just enough bite to balance the beer.
Full Nelson Saison, a collaboration brew between D.R.A.F.T. competition winner Andy Melchers and
WWBC. Andy’s “Full Nelson Saison” won Best of Show at D.R.A.F.T. Saisonfest last May. Andy entered the D.R.A.F.T. Saisonfest with just one home-brew in the “hoppy saison” category – to the effect that it was more or less a traditional saison, but the hopping rates were increased (similar to that of an IPA) to emphasize the Nelson Sauvin hop. He named it “Full Nelson” because of the prodigious amount of Nelson hops used in the recipe.
