Beer Description
Sometimes inspiration can come from the strangest of places. This is exemplified in Arcadia’s first American Pale Ale, The Devil Went Down to Gary. If you asked the brewer who conceived of this delicious, tropical beer he would tell you it came to him in a dream after falling blissfully asleep under a palm tree on a stretch of beach on Lake Gary in Gary, Indiana.
While an intriguing description, it does not begin to exemplify this delicious, hoppy yet fruity American Pale Ale. Brewed in our new 100bbl closed fermenters with American Ale Yeast, a divergence from our 21 year old proprietary yeast strain. Dry hopped with Mosaic and Citra, tropical and hoppy flavors and aroma are balanced by a solid malt backbone. Light copper in color with a creamy white head, you’ll never guess at 7.7% it’s so easy to enjoy a pint, or two!
