Beer Description
We have brewed an old fashion trappist/monk ale named after bishop Eskil, the founder of several monasteries in the 1100 century Denmark. Most known is probably Esrum monastery located in northern Zealand. We cherish his memory with a pleasantly hoppy, pitch-black beer, which we have added top fermented Belgium yeast. This is ale that can be enjoyed in a soft chair or at a classic Danish lunch table. An Ale for any occasion. Eskil has been developed in collaboration between Hornbeer and Danish beer and culture author, Carsten Berthelsen.
