Beer Description

Ommegang’s Witte with mango, kiwi, and passionfruit juices and pitched with wild yeast. Tropical fruit aroma with a hint of barnyard funk and a dry finish.

Fruittanomyces begins with our award-winning witbier, Witte. During fermentation we add mango, kiwi, and passionfruit juices, followed by dry-hopping with Citra and Cascade hops. During bottling, the beer is pitched with the wild yeast brettanomyces bruxellensis. In our warm cellar, Fruittanomyces refermented with the wild yeast for over 6 months before being released to the public. The resulting beer bursts with tropical fruit aroma with a hint of barnyard funk, and an incredibly dry finish. Fruittanomyces is a one-off limited release available only in 750ml cork-finished bottles.
