Beer Description

Characterized by floral, fruity, citrus-like, piney or resinous American-variety hop character, this style is all about hop flavor, aroma and bitterness. This has been the most-entered category at the Great American Beer Festival for more than a decade, and is the top-selling craft beer style in supermarkets and liquor stores across the U.S. This American style IPA is named in honor of firefighting heroes. What is a Kelly Day you might ask?
Kelly Day: A day offor vacation day taken at a scheduled interval in addition to normal time off or vacation. Also Kelly shift. It has been claimed as early as 1953 that this term comes from Edward Joseph Kelly, mayor of Chicago from 1933 to 1947. He is said to have put in place a similar plan for firefighters in 1936.
This IPA is crafted with 2-row and cara malts, and hopped up with Chinook hops (including dry hopped).
