Beer Description

Extremely approachable but also respected by all beer fans. Fermented with ale yeast but finished like a lager, Kölsch is crisp, complex, and quaffable.

Crooked Ewe Brewery & Ale House thinks cancer stinks, so we are dedicating the month of October to raising funds for cancer research through the release and sale of “Kolsches vs Cancer”, a limited edition batch of a traditional Kölsch.

Throughout October, a portion of proceeds from the beer will be donated to the Harper Cancer Research Institute, a South Bend-based multi-disciplinary team with researchers from the University of Notre Dame and the Indiana School of Medicine South Bend. Crooked Ewe has a long history with the Harper Cancer Institute, having donated beer and manpower to past open houses and other events geared towards creating awareness of the institute’s cutting edge research.

Why this beer? Kölsch, a crowd-pleasing German beer, is extremely approachable but also respected by all beer fans. Fermented with ale yeast but finished like a lager, Kölsch is crisp, complex, and quaffable.
