Beer Description
A deep sniff of the Scottish reveals many layers of complexity. The sweet, rich aroma of caramel is first to show itself, reluctantly giving way to a hint of roast malt. There is a touch of dark fruit also, and it that the subtle essence of peat smoke? You tell me. The flavor follows right along with the aroma. Warm toffee-like malt flavor dominates, while hints of coffee and smoke dance in the background. Hops don’t come into play. It’s all about the malt in this classic style.
