Beer Description
Scottish Red Ale brewed with heather tips and Scottish Ale yeast. The heather is paired with traditional English hops to give this beer a unique earthy, slightly floral & pine flavor and aroma.
We created a Scottish Red ale by starting with a malty βredβ base using roasted barley and caramel malts, adding heather tips into the boil and finishing with a Scottish Ale yeast. Heather tips are widely grown in Scotland and were used in beer before the use of hops. The heather is paired with traditional English hops to give this beer a unique earthy, slightly floral & pine flavor and aroma.
