Beer Description
Fresh take on last year’s Charleston tripel with the same floral nose but less boozy aromas, more citrus notes and a lighter body.
This second beer of the series is dedicated to YOGN 82, the vessel which replaced Charleston in the breakwater. It is a fresh take on last year’s Charleston, the tripel that started off the series, sort of a Charleston 2.0 if you will, with the same floral nose but less boozy aromas, more citrus notes and a lighter body. Be sure to handle this one with care or you may not see the 9% ABV coming until it’s too late
Each Hulk also features ‘Artist’s Series’ labels: artwork created by different local Powell River artists. YOGN 82 features the art of Emma Bell who had this to say about her piece:
‘Although never graced with a name, Yard Oiler (Gasoline, Unpowered) 82 served in the Pacific theatre at Leyte, in the Phillipines. Being a fuel barge may not be the most glamourous of war roles, but provided an essential service nonetheless.’
