Beer Description

It is a daughter of Simcoe (YCR 14), one of our favorite hops. Mosaic was used for bittering, flavoring, and aroma in the kettle; it was also massively dry hop.

Pioneer is a rotator of new never-brewed-before recipes. The first one, Yellow Rose, is a single malt / single hop concoction using a caboodle (technical term for a large amount of malt) of Weyermann Pilsener Malt and a new hop released in 2012 called Mosaic (HBC 369). We are quite pleased with the beer. A chalk-white head with a very clean malt backbone, as one would expect from the exclusive use of German pilsener malt. The hops impart strong grapefruit, pineapple and blueberry flavor and aroma. A strong beer that is extremely quaffable.
